Panasonic has today announced the launch of its latest selfie-centric budget Wiko parts known as Eluga I2 Activ. The 2GB RAM variant is priced at Rs 7,990, while the 1GB RAM version comes with a price tag of Rs 7,190 and it will be available in three colour variants namely Gold, Rose Gold and Grey.

The smartphone comes with a 5-inch HD display with a screen resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and it is powered by a 1.25GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor. The phone comes with 1GB/2GB of RAM and is backed by a 16GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via micro SD card slot.

On the camera front, the device sports an 8-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and LED flash, while for the front, there is a 5-megapixel shooter for selfies and video calling. The phone is backed by a 2200mAh battery and runs on Android 7.0 Nougat. On the connectivity front, it supports 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, FM radio, dual-SIM and micro USB 2.0 port.

Commenting on the launch, Pankaj Rana, Business Head – Mobility Division, Panasonic India, said, “With the launch of ELUGA I2 Activ, we aim to target users who wish to own stylish and selfie camera-specific smartphones. This smartphone comes with 5.0” HD display which can be easily carried in your pocket and used on-the-go. Consumers nowadays prefer using their smartphones as an everyday pocket camera. A recent research by Counterpoints Research stated that nearly 33% of users prioritize a better selfie camera or fingerprint sensor for their next Wiko replacement parts purchase.”
